(VEN) – Anoa Suzzanne Dussol Perran, a French national, has been reappointed by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism as Vietnam’s Tourism Ambassador to France for the 2024-2029 term.

Anoa Suzzanne Dussol Perran was born in 1957 and her mother is a Vietnamese. She grew up and matured in France but holds a deep affection for the S-shaped country. She wishes to dedicate her life to her maternal homeland.
Anoa said she will further promote Vietnamese culture and tourism in France, and choose famous places to organize events to introduce the image of Vietnam to the world.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism stated that Anoa Suzzanne Dussol Perran initiated the “Vietnam House” (La Maison Du Vietnam), leaving many profound marks in the fields of culture, sports and tourism. These significant contributions have helped Vietnamese and French tourism achieve sustainable development over nearly a decade. Notably, Anoa cooperated with the Vietnam Air Services Company (VASCO), a subsidiary of the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam (CAAV), to establish HELI JET VIETNAM (offering helicopter tourism transportation services).
Anoa was for the first time appointed as Vietnam Tourism Ambassador to France in 2015. From 2015-2019, she engaged in numerous activities contributing to the overall development, including the establishment of a culture, sports and tourism promotion fund. Since 2011, Anoa has consistently sponsored cultural and tourism promotion activities in France, including the “Vietnam Month” festival, the “Business Opportunities in Vietnam” seminar, and the “Vietnam Culture and Tourism Night.” She joined the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism in its participation in the 2016 TOP SERA international tourism fair in Paris.
Vietnamese Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Van Hung highly rated Anoa Suzzanne Dussol Perran’s contributions to the Vietnamese tourism sector. He said he hopes that Anoa would continue her contributions to the country’s tourism development.
Under the plan, Anoa will focus on implementing diverse tourism promotion activities, contributing to the Vietnam tourism marketing strategy to 2030, aligned with the slogan “Vietnam – Timeless Charm.” Anoa said she aims to increase the number of French and European visitors to Vietnam by 1.5 times in 2025 and double the number in 2028.
Anoa affirmed that she would accompany tourism and other promotion activities organized regularly and unexpectedly by the Vietnamese Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Vietnamese Embassy in France, CCV, and the Vietnam Tourism Association, aiming at promoting Vietnamese culture, art, tourism and cuisine in France and other European countries. Anoa said she will choose famous landmarks to organize events to introduce Vietnam’s image to the world and to show how strongly Vietnam has developed.
According to the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism, Europe is a key tourism market of Vietnam. In 2023, Vietnam welcomed more than 1.4 million European visitors, up 187 percent from 2022, and over 975,000 European visitors in the first five months of this year, up 57.1 percent year-on-year. France has become a traditional and crucial European tourism market of Vietnam. Last year, Vietnam attracted almost 216,000 French tourists, up 75 percent from the pre-COVID-19 period (290,000 tourists), making France the second largest European tourist market of Vietnam in the same year. |
