MTA Vietnam 2024, the 20th precision engineering and manufacturing reinvented exhibition, has opened in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC), from July 2-5.
The event gathers 323 exhibitors from over 15 countries and regions, including China, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Turkey, USA, and Vietnam. With an impressive space of up to 16,000 sqm, the exhibition attracts over 13 international pavilions from countries such as China, Germany, Italy, and Singapore.
The exhibition owns an diverse exhibition portfolio, focusing on metal forming machinery/sheet metal cutting machinery; metal cutting machine tools; measurement & testing technology; cutting tools & machining tools; automation & control technology; and many other products and services. This is a great opportunity for local and international businesses to introduce the latest products and services, approach potential partners, expand distribution networks as well as grasp the latest technology trends in the manufacturing industry.
The manufacturing and processing industry will remain a key driver of economic growth in the coming years. In recent years, at many factories, the demand for advanced machining solutions and automation integration to reduce downtime in production, improve accuracy and boost operational efficiency is increasing. This translates into a compelling drive for innovation within Vietnam’s precision engineering industry. Serving as the backbone of numerous industries, the precision engineering sector plays a pivotal role in supplying essential tools, equipment, and power machinery across all economic domains.
Embracing this trend, the exhibition delivers a series of high–quality seminars, providing in-depth forums with influential speakers from prestigious associations such as the Vietnam Automation Association (VAA), Meslab and so on. Those seminars will cover topics such as “Revolutionizing approaches: Smart and Sustainable Manufacturing towards Net-Zero”; “The latest advancements driving the application of 3D printing technology in industrial manufacturing towards sustainable development”.
The exhibition also bring the second edition of robot competition “MTA Challenges” back to young talents in the region. This year, the competition promises to attract a large number of students from universities in Ho Chi Minh City. The program creates opportunities for them to express their creativity, teamwork skill and robot programming knowledge, contributing to the development of high-quality human resources, nurturing the next generation of automation engineers.
In recent years, Vietnam’s robotics market has experienced significant growth due to the rising demand from businesses for automation solutions. These solutions aim to optimize productivity, ensure accuracy and safety, and reduce labor and operational costs. The Vietnamese robotics market is expected to witness explosive growth in the near future, with estimated revenues reaching USD356.70 million by 2024. In which, industrial robots are projected to lead the market, with a market value estimated at USD309.80 million for the same year. By 2028, the Vietnamese robotics market is expected to reach a value of USD391.90 million (Statista, August 2023). Recognizing this trend, the show reintroduces the VINRA exhibition area, which stands for Vietnam Industrial Robotics and Automation event for the second time in the MTA series. VINRA made its debut at “MTA Vietnam 2023” exhibition and was well-received by industry professionals. This year, VINRA is expanding and adding more space for companies to showcase and demonstrate automation equipment to visitors in a truly immersive way via VINRA technical seminar area.
The exhibition is expected to attract 16,000 specialized visitors during 4 days.
